Connecting Pointe Kids desires to connect with kids wherever they may be on their spiritual journey with Jesus. Connecting Pointe Kids ministers to children from birth through 5th Grade. Each child is given opportunities throughout the week to interact in age specific, developmentally appropriate, and fun worship settings. We know your child will love spending time in Connecting Pointe Kids.

Weekly Gatherings

Connecting Pointe Kids gathers twice throughout the week. We gather together on Sunday mornings for worship at 10:00 am, as well as gathering for our Midweek Connection on Wednesdays nights from 6:30-7:30 pm. All kids birth through 5th grade have programming appropriate for their age level during these times.

Safety

You can rest assured your child will be safe and cared for while spending time in Connecting Pointe Kids. All our volunteers have been properly trained and background checked to volunteer in all ministry areas. The safety of your children while in our care is very important to us. For this reason, we have implemented a check-in process. Checking in your child each time you visit Connecting Pointe Kids helps us accurately know the name of each child in our care. It also ensures that all children are being released only to those authorized to pick them up.

Here is some helpful information:

  1. There is a check-in station located near the west lower level entrance.
  2. Each child must be checked in before they are left in the care of our Connecting Pointe Kids volunteers.

How check-in works

First time guests:

When checking in your child for the first time, we will ask for the following information:

Child’s name, age, grade

Guardian’s Name and contact information.

Name/s of other authorized persons allowed to pick-up your child, if any.

You will receive a claim ticket with your child’s name and claim number listed on it. Please hold onto this ticket as it will be needed to pick up your child.

If your child needs assistance while you are away, you will be notified by text, or phone call. Please keep your phone near you.

Returning Guests:

Please inform the check-in volunteer of your last name so they can access your family information. Also, inform them if there are any special instructions for your child.

How check-out works

When picking up your child, present the claim ticket to one of our volunteers in your child’s room. Due to the importance of security, children are ONLY released to their parents/guardians with the appropriate claim ticket. Children will NOT be released to siblings

Nursery (birth to 2 years)

Our purpose in Nursery Ministries is to partner with your family and assist in the faith development of your child. Our goal is to provide a worshipful and educational environment as we love and care for the children and families of CP Church. Your child will learn about the love of Jesus through songs, story time, snack, and play during his or her time with us.

When dropping off your child, please inform our volunteers the last time your child ate, as well as the last time they were changed. After you have checked in your child, a nursery volunteer will welcome them into the nursery. For safety and security, only nursery volunteers are allowed in the nurseries.

Nursery Snack Policy

A snack is provided each week for all nursery children while in our care. Goldfish Crackers, Animal Crackers, and Cheerios are the provided snack. One of these choices will be provided. If your child is unable to have the snack provided, please let our nursery volunteers know.

If you bring a bottle or sippy cup for your child, it will need to be labeled accordingly. This will help us ensure you receive the correct cup when picking up your child. Thank you for your cooperation.

Allergies and Wellness Policy

During the check-in process, please make note of any allergies your child has. This is so we may better know how to care for your child. Your child’s name-tag will note any mentioned allergies.

If your infant or toddler is exhibiting any of the following symptoms or has any of the following diseases, please DO NOT bring him or her to the nursery:

  • Fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or greater
  • Runny nose if associated with illness
  • Vomiting in the last 24 hours
  • Diarrhea in the last 24 hours
  • Impetigo
  • Chicken Pox
  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Conjunctivitis (pink eye)

If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he or she must be on the medication for a minimum of at least 24 hours before returning to the nursery. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy environment for our babies.

Nursery Cry Policy

We understand it is sometimes difficult for a child to transition into the classroom. Therefore, we allow children a 10 minute cry time before alerting their parents. Parents will be notified of needed assistance by a text/phone call.

Nursery Promotion Policy

In order for children to promote from Nursery Ministry to Preschool Ministry, all child MUST be at least 3 years of age AND fully potty trained (no pull-ups). The first Sunday of each month will be Move-up Sunday. This will help us accomplish two things:

  1. It will allow our nursery volunteers to say goodbye to children with whom they’ve bonded.
  2. It will give our preschool volunteers time to prepare for the arrival of new children.
  3. Please mention (one month prior) to our volunteer staff that your child will be turning. This will help us transition your child accordingly.

Preschool Ministry (ages 3 thru 5)

Our purpose in Preschool Ministries is to partner with your family and assist in the faith development of your child. Our goal is to provide a worshipful and educational environment as we love and care for the children and families of CP Church. Your child will learn about the love of Jesus through songs, story time, snack time, and play during his or her time with us.

In order to fully minister to, and best meet the needs of each preschool child, all children must be fully potty trained (no pull-ups). Our Preschool department is not equipped with changing tables to care for children in diapers. We certainly understand accidents may happen and will address situations when they arise. Thanks for your cooperation with this.

If your child needs your assistance while in our care, parents will be notified by text/phone call. Thank you for your cooperation in enabling us to best minister to all children in our care.

Preschool Promotion Policy:

Students who complete Preschool and are entering Kindergarten will be promoted to Elementary Kids Worship. Promotion will be at the beginning of each school year. There will be a designated Sunday in which we will promote these students. Students Kindergarten through 5th grade worship together in the Kids Worship Studio with Pastor Justin.

Elementary Ministry (Kindergarten thru 5th Grade)

Our purpose in Elementary Ministries is to partner with your family and assist in the faith development of your child. Our goal is to provide a worshipful and educational environment as we love and care for the children and families of CP Church. Your child will learn about the love of Jesus through songs, story, and station time during his or her time with us.

Family Worship Sunday

Once a quarter, on the fifth Sunday of the month, we gather to corporately worship as a family. We believe that children benefit from experiencing worship as a family. We also believe that the church benefits from worship with kids. These intergenerational services are family friendly and a great worship experience. On these designated Sundays, all children Preschool thru Elementary will worship with their families. Nursery care is provided for these services.
